KUALA LUMPUR: There is no way that PAS will set up an Islamic state in Malaysia, said its Kuala Selangor Member of Parliament Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad.

Speaking at a forum on race relations and religion over the weekend, he said the political demography in Malaysia was such that there was no way for PAS to create an Islamic state, he said, which was reported in a news portal here today.

Responding to a question during the forum, he said there were 60 per cent Muslims to 40 per cent non-Muslims and PAS did not even have all the 60 per cent support from the Muslims.

Dr Dzulkefly said that the Islamic state only existed during Prophet Muhammad’s era in Medina when another participant pointed out examples of Islamic states such as Pakistan.

YB Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, Malaysia was already declared an Islamic country by the racist TDM before he stepped down as PM. If there is a will there is a way. Please don't say that there is no way.

PAS will not think of an islamic state at present because its main aim is to win the next election through its coalition partners.The coalition partners are poles apart and the idea of islamic state will only be implemented only in states where the majority are Muslims.Even in these states where non muslims are found they will come under the secular laws for a short time till they see how islamic laws operate.Once the confidence is built islamic laws will take over completely.But this idea will be counteracted by the UMNO islamic intellectuals in the next election where all states will have parallel islamic and secular laws where both Muslims and non Muslims will have a good choice.This will give rise to a special country in terms of laws for the peole.Most rape cases will escape under islamic laws.We are going to see a drastic reformation very soon.

We dont need an Islamic State but what is needed is for all Muslim to practice Islamic values according to the Sunnah and the Quran.In the absence of this in the Muslims way of life there is nothing to shout about.

Dan seorang veteran PAS pula menghubungi saya dari Kuala Selangor lepas iti, mencabar YB Dr Zulkifli supaya mendedahkan identiti dan pemikiran beliau sebenar. Apakah beliau menolak perjuangan PAS untuk menegakkan negara Islam?

Apakah beliau tidak lagi berjuang berdasarkan perlembagaan PAS seperti Fasal 3. Dasar PAS ialah ISLAM.

Dan Fasal 7. Hukum, Kekuasaan dan 'MAJLIS SYURA 'ULAMAK".

(1) Adapun hukum yang tertinggi sekali dalam pegangan PAS ialah KITABULLAH dan SUNNAH RASUL serta IJMAK 'ULAMAK dan QIAS yang terang dan nyata, dengan tertakluk kepada hukum yang tertinggi itu, kekuasaan PAS adalah dipegang oleh Muktamar Tahunan.

"Tidakkah beliau melihat sejarah Islam, wujudnya negara Islam Madinah semasa penduduk Madinah masih belum sampai 25% penduduk Islamnya?" Katanya lagi.

Saya panjangkan untuk pengetahuan Dr Zul dan pejuang-pejuang Negara Islam.
